10 Summer Jobs For Teens
Landscaping
Summer tends to busiest time for landscapers making it the perfect summer job! Teens can learn some fun skills like how to mow the lawn, plant bushes, and maybe even install french drains. Life skills and cash. Total win!
Babysitting
This is a classic for a reason… it’s great money and needed! Teens can easily charge $15-$20 per hour depending on the area and number of kids. Local moms pages can be a great place to find work. CPR and first aid training are great to add to your resume to help get jobs.
Laundry
Many people would love affordable help with laundry! Teach your teens to properly wash, dry, and fold and let the money add up!
Ice Cream Shops
Ice cream shops tend to have more limited hours so your teen won’t be working till 2 am hopefully! They also need extra seasonal help making it a great fit.
Farm Hand
If you have farms in your area, it’s time to fire up the tractor! They will learn gardening skills, build muscle, and some vitamin D. Some farmers even throw in extra produce!
Camp Counselor
The only thing more fun than attending camp is working at camp! They can build life long friends, build leadership skills, and go hiking. I think I want this as my summer job…
Theme Park
We live close to Carowinds and they are hiring as young as 15 due to a labor shortage. This can have fun benefits like discounted food and free park admission! Be sure to check out arcades, mini golf, etc as well!
Golf Courses
What’s more fun than riding around on a golf cart? If they are interested in golf this is an even better deal!
Teach A Skill
Harness your teen’s talent! If they know how to play a instrument, do math well, or have another skill, they can use it to teach others!
Pet Sitting
Get those leashes ready! People love to travel in the summer making it the best ttime to find pet sitting jobs. They can walk, feed, and snuggle those pups as they rake in the cash.
