Every month I share one plan for stocking your freezer using one main ingredient. This month, we’re going to be making some freezer pork recipes. From meatballs to soup to pot pie, these recipes will be great comfort food for the fall, and you’ll need to buy very few things outside of what you hopefully have in your pantry!
Stock the Freezer: Freezer Pork Recipes (with Shopping List!)
I’ve found 5 delicious recipes that you can make with pork and stick in the freezer. If any of these don’t look like meals your family will eat, then just double one of the other ones so you’ll have plenty! If you make all 5 of these, it should be enough for 1 meal of each for a family of 4. If you have a larger family, you may want to double the recipes to make sure you have enough.
At the end of the post is a grocery list if you want to make ONE batch of each of these recipes.
This is a great meal to double and eat one for dinner and save the other half for another night.
Note: This link gives recipes for 6 different marinades, most of which include pantry staples. I have included the meat amount on the shopping list, but you’ll need to decide which marinade you want to use and make sure you have the ingredients or add them to your shopping list!
This soup looks perfect for colder weather, and it would be so nice to pull it out of the freezer and have it almost all ready to go!
Sweet and sticky pork meatballs
If you have these meatballs in the freezer, all you need to do is make some instant rice and heat up some frozen vegetables for a full meal in a really short amount of time.
This is about the best comfort food you can make. This uses already cooked pork, so you could cook extra pork for the soup or the pulled pork and use it in this recipe!
