Being a self-proclaimed procrastinator isn’t always a bad thing. In fact, some people truly do work well under pressure and a tight deadline. That being said, gift giving isn’t always the best time for procrastinators because other uncontrollable factors come into play — think: long shipping lead times, products selling out, etc. But we have good news. Procrastinators can now rest-assured that they’ll find a thoughtful, affordable and truly unique gift the week (or, let’s be honest, less than a week) before Christmas thanks to CVS Photo.

To show you just how fast and easy it is to create gift and pick it up at your local CVS the same day, we reached out to lifestyle expert, Jamie Lyn Kane. Check out her video walking us through how to create a custom coffee mug and wood block calendar for her boyfriend in less than 24 hours.

The fast and convenient same-day pickup isn’t the only reason we suggest CVS Photo. The brand has over 50 personalized gift ideas for you to create for your loved ones. It also is big on savings: Just check out the deals and coupons page to score a discount yourself. From now until Dec. 12, save 50% site-wide with code 50SEASON and from Dec. 13 to Dec. 31 save 40% site-wide with code SEASON40.

Thanks to this personalized mug, wonderful memories will be the first thing they think of each morning when they brew their coffee. Design your own mug with custom text, photos and designs or opt for one of the pre-made templates, dropping in your own pictures to finish it off.

This beautifully made wood block calendar just dropped at CVS Photo, but we predict it’s going to become a gift giving staple for years to come. Just like the mug, you can create your calendar from scratch or use the pre-made templates as a guide. We suggest pairing your memories with the months they happened in to serve as a sweet reminder of the years past.

RMN: Tell us a bit about yourself

My name is Jamie and I am a lifestyle influencer based in San Diego, CA. It’s been eight years since I moved here for college from the Midwest and I just fell in love with the California lifestyle — and weather, of course. I have always been a creative type, I did graphic design for a couple years after college and now I do this full-time. I love sharing bits of my life including fashion, beauty, health and home decor. I can’t really stick to one thing. I am passionate about living a healthy lifestyle and romanticizing your life.

RMN: How did you get into the lifestyle space?

I kinda fell into the lifestyle space organically just sharing my day to day life with my audience. I originally started sharing on social media with a blog that I had created while in college. I loved following bloggers at the time and thought it’d be a good creative outlet for me. I kept up with posting because I genuinely enjoyed sharing my life.

RMN: Any tips for preparing and budgeting for the busy gifting season?

I would say don’t wait till the last minute but also don’t put too much pressure on getting the perfect gift or giving enough. I always find myself worrying leading up to the big day just to realize that it really is the thought that counts and spending time with the people you love. Cheesy, but true.

RMN: Why do you love CVS Photo as a gifting option?

Photos are so special to me. I have always loved going through my old family photos, my parents have so many shoeboxes filled at home. I think just being able to look back on memories of a certain time or place in my life helps me reflect on how far I’ve come whilst showing appreciation for that specific moment in time. I love CVS Photo as a gifting option because there is nothing more sentimental or nostalgic to me. Personalized gifts are the best in my opinion… you will keep them forever.

RMN: What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?

My favorite gift is a gold necklace that my mom passed down to me. She wore it everyday when I was growing up and I always loved it. When I moved away for college, she gifted it to me and it’s my most prized possession. I love it because I feel like I have a piece of her wherever I go.
