COSORI Recalls 2 Million Air Fryers – Here’s What To Do

Why Is COSORI Recalling Air Fryers:

You’ve probably heard about the crazy recall with the COSORI air fryers.  2 million COSORI air fryers are being recalled due to 205 reports of air fryers catching fire, burning, melting and overheating. Once you’ve verified that you own a recalled air fryer, please STOP USING IT! We want to make sure you and your family stay safe. Along with not using it anymore, if someone else you know also has a COSORI air fryers, please share this post with them. How To Know If Your Air Fryer Is Being Recalled:

First, let’s check to make sure your air fryer is a recalled model, we wouldn’t want you cutting the cord before we’re certain. Go ahead and flip your air fryer over and check the model number on the silver tag that is located on the bottom of your air fryer.

• • CP158-AF (5.8 Cosori Pro in all colors)
  • CS158-AF (5.8 qt Cosori Pro – smart version in all colors)
  • CP137-AF (3.7 qt Cosori Pro in all colors)
  • CAF-P581 in all colors CAF-P581S (smart in all colors)
  • CO137-AF CO158-AF CP258-AF

What You Need To Do If Yours Is Recalled:

If you have an air fryer with model numbers above, you are now eligible for a FREE REPLACEMENT from COSORI. No receipt needed. Once you have verified that you have a recalled model, go ahead and locate the batch number (or the BN) next. The BN will most likely be on the right next to the silver tag where we found the model number, or along the bottom edge-as pictured below. Write the BN on a separate piece of paper in big, clear handwriting. You’ll need it when you take the picture.

Next, it is time to cut the cord. To receive your replacement, you’re going to have to show proof in the pictures you send to COSORI that you cut the cord.

• The first picture needs to show:
  • the bottom of the air fryer with the silver tag
  • the written/imprinted BN
  • the cut cord all visible. 
• The second picture needs to show:
  • front of air fryer
  • the written BN

• The third picture needs to show:
  • back of the air fryer
  • written BN
  • cut cord

Once your finish taking the pictures, you’ll want to register for a Free Replacement air fryer on COSORI’s website. There you will type in all your information, upload the pictures you took, and pick your replacement. At the end, you will be given some valuable information on how to dispose of your air fryer so we aren’t cluttering up the landfills.
