Craft Store Coupon Policies: Michaels, JoAnn & Hobby Lobby

Craft stores have changed over the years, but they’re still going strong as brick and mortar stores. Sure, you can buy almost everything on Amazon, but there’s something special about browsing a craft store.

The three biggest stores—Michaels, Jo-Ann Fabric & Crafts, and Hobby Lobby—often have great sales, but craft store coupon policies have changed greatly over the past few years. Here are the current policies!

Craft Store Coupon Policies

Michaels

The coupon policy at Michaels is pretty simple: there is a limit of one coupon per product, and a limit of one type of coupon per day. So, for example, you could use a 20% off coupon only once per day, regardless of how many transactions you do. They no longer accept competitors’ coupons, but they will price match in-store and online ads from their competitors and beat that price by 10%! Additionally, while this is not a coupon, teachers and military get an extra 15% off, and seniors get an extra 10% off purchases.

JoAnn Fabric & Crafts

JoAnn does offer coupons for their own stores. They have coupons for online and in-store. However, some can only be used in one place, so make sure you read the fine print carefully. If you use coupons, the will accept one coupon per item, and one % off coupon per transaction. They do not accept competitors’ coupons, but they will price match with competitors if you can show them the competitors’ ad.

Hobby Lobby

Earlier in 2021, Hobby Lobby discontinued its famous 40% off coupon. As a result, Hobby Lobby no longer accepts coupons—either its own or competitors’. However, it will honor competitors’ ads and price match on certain items. The truth is, Hobby Lobby puts various things on sale almost every week, so if you are able to go regularly, you can still get really good deals.
