In case you’ve been completely out of touch since your childhood, Furbies are still a real thing in 2023 – but now they come in itty-bitty sizes with the same big personalities.
If you’ve forgotten, Furby is the endearingly quirky, electronic fuzzy ball of fluff with enormous, unblinking eyes that stare deeply into your soul. It has an unpredictable personality that can go from singing pop tunes to speaking its own Furbish language, which sounds like a mix of gibberish and a malfunctioning radio. You’re never totally sure whether it’s secretly plotting world domination or just trying to interact with you.
The fan-favorite furball has multiplied into six pint-size versions of itself. Furblets are like having mini rock stars living with you, complete with their own stage presence, harmonizing musical genres and a penchant for dramatic performances.
Every Furblet speaks in Furbish, the classic Furby language, when you tap the top of their head. Press the beak for feeding noises and tap the heart gem to play to have the Furblets play their own musical genre. Fold one or both ears down and press the head to make them pop back up. The 2-inch ball of fluff features five voice-activated modes and over 600 phrases, jokes, songs and lots more. It has a removable keychain clip for taking it along everywhere you go.
Each Furblet is $9.99 and comes in these musical options:
- Ooh-koo plays Ozzy Osborne-worthy rock tunes.
- Hip-bop brings the beat with its hip-hop songs.
- K-pop fan Luv-lee is ready for a dance party.
- With summer-inspired fur, Mello-nee has a relaxing vibe with her chill music personality.
- Gamer Pix-elle is in gaming mode with video game-style tunes.
- Have your very own rave with Ray-vee, who sets the beat with EDM tunes.
Although the OG Furby can have impromptu dance battles, Furblets can’t do that. But if you have the latest 2023 Furby, you can activate the Furdar mode to see what Furby has to say about their dee-noo-lahs (little friends).
Furblets are available for pre-order right now at Amazon and will ship starting Dec. 1.
