JCPenney has officially announced its holiday plans for Black Friday this year, including sales dates and store hours with its new “Make Your Holidays Count” holiday campaign.
This announcement comes a week-ish later than last year’s JCPenney “We Got Your Holiday” Early Black Friday announcement in mid-October when JCPenney also released its pre-Black Friday ad. But the retailer doesn’t plan to do the same thing this year. If you’re a JCPenney Rewards member, however, you’ll have an exclusive preview of the 2023 Black Friday ad starting Nov. 1, plus access to other exclusive offers. Somewhat similar to last year, JCPenney plans to offer Black Friday Early Access from Nov. 3 to Nov. 5, followed by Ready, Set, Holidays, Prep! from Nov. 6 to Nov. 16 and the Black Friday sale starting Nov. 24. And those are all the details we have right now, so check back for updates.

JCPenney Black Friday Store Hours 2023
For the fourth consecutive year, JCPenney has confirmed that it will close its stores on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 23) but will reopen bright and early on Nov. 24 for Black Friday savings galore. Check jcp.com/locations for your store’s holiday hours.
Just like in 2021 and 2022, JCPenney is opening its in-store doors on Black Friday at 5 a.m. to hungover Thanksgiving Day customers. And for those early-bird in-person shoppers, JCPenney is offering bonus savings and giveaways that drop starting at 5 a.m., 9 a.m., 1 p.m., and 5 p.m. (local time), including a chance to win a free diamond item (per store) and a $500 off a $500 purchase coupon.
Last year, Black Friday deals started online at 5 a.m. on Black Friday, too. We’ll update you as more details for 2023 are announced.
JCPenney Cyber Days 2023
The JCPenney annual Cyber Days will likely pick up where Black Friday leaves off, with thousands of deals available online. Stay tuned for details on this year’s Cyber Monday deals.

Shoppers can get their holiday glam look at JCPenney Beauty locations and score a $10 lash application with the purchase of lashes inside JCPenney stores. Plus, you can get new one-on-one, complimentary consultations with JCPenney Beauty advisers.
And, on Nov. 4 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., all JCPenney Beauty locations will host a “Dare to Wear Red” event with experts helping customers find the perfect red lip shade.
