This month’s meal plan might look a little different than the ones I normally do. For our March 2024 monthly meal plan, I’m trying to clean out my pantry and freezer. I’ve got some very simple, maybe not completely nutritionally balanced meals, because I want to start fresh in April and I want to make sure we dig to the very bottom of the freezer especially to see what’s there. March is also bringing St. Patrick’s Day and Easter as well as some birthdays in our family, so I have plugged in the birthdays because the birthday individual will pick what they want to eat on that night.
There is also more than one “frozen appetizer night.” This is the night when we throw in corn dogs, taquitos, chicken nuggets, or whatever else I managed to get on sale. I plan this when I know we will be home late or if we will be gone all afternoon and I’ll be too tired to cook. If you prefer to do something a little healthier, you could try one of the many recipes from our Instant Pot recipes list.
While I enjoy coming up with 30 or so really amazing dinner ideas, I also want to be realistic. We’re not all going to cook a three-course meal every night. And we don’t have to! You have to choose what’s important to you when it comes to your budget and your meal planning.

If you also want to join me in cleaning out your freezer, you can just substitute the protein for whatever I have listed. Use sausage instead of bacon, make turkey burgers instead of beef burgers, etc. There are so many ways to tweak this meal plan to make it work for you!
