It could seem daunting, but some things are actually really simple to make. Check out these common items that you can make at home to save BIG!
Fab Frugal Note: Some items may cost a little more to get started because you will need to purchase ingredients that you might not already have on hand. The key is to calculate your savings in the long run. Often these ingredients will last for a long time and make several batches, saving you a lot of money.
Mouthwash

Hair Detangler
Grab a 4 oz Essential Oil Spray Bottle and put 2 tablespoons Vegetable Glycerin and 12 drops of Lavender Oil inside. Shake well and add enough distilled water to fill. Shake again and you’re ready to go!
Shaving Cream

Makeup Brush Cleaner
One of the most neglected beauty products is makeup brushes, as it can be easy to forget to clean them. To make your own brush cleaner, mix 1 Tablespoon Original Blue Dawn Dish Soap with 2 Tablespoons White Vinegar. Then mix into 1 cup distilled water.
Healing Lotion
Make your own lotion with Coconut Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, and Peppermint Essential Oil. Check out the recipe HERE.
Toothpaste
Have you ever tried making your own toothpaste? Mix together 6 Tablespoons Coconut Oil, 1 teaspoon Baking Soda, 15 drops of Peppermint Oil or Mint Extract, 10 drops of Orange Oil, and 1 packet of Stevia and store in a tightly covered jar.
Makeup Removing Wipes
Add 1/4 cup distilled water, 1 teaspoon Castile Soap, 1 teaspoon Witch Hazel, 1 tsp Coconut Oil, 5 drops of Lavender Essential Oil, and 5 drops of Frankincense Oil to a 4 oz Mason Jar and shake well. Then drop in Cotton Rounds a few at a time until all of the liquid is absorbed. Store with the lid on tight and use as needed.
Bubble Bath
Combine 1 cup filtered water with 1/4 cup Castile Soap and 1 ounce Vegetable Glycerin for a soothing bubble bath. For softer skin you can add 1 Tablespoon heated Coconut Oil to the mix.
