What to Plant In Spring

Spring is the time to plant vegetables and flowers for a beautiful summer garden. Whether you have a few small container planters, raised garden beds or a row garden tilled and ready to go, there’s something for everyone to plant this spring! Depending on where you live, some things aren’t going to grow well if you plant them now, so I’m going to share what to plant in spring (between March and May) that should work for most parts of the United States.

Having a vegetable garden is a great way to spend time outside, and if you have kids, to teach them about the process of food cultivation.

In my area, the last frost tends to be around April 1st, so now is the perfect time to transfer any seedlings I have outside and to plant my summer flower bulbs.

I know everyone lives in different areas, so you may have already started your garden (good for you!) or you may still have snow on the ground. See what zone you live in to find out when to start planting.
